You can use true fractions (yes, real fractions, not just their decimal equivalents) in calculations. To use a fraction, enclose it in square brackets: [ ].

For example, entering [1/4] + [1/5] will evaluate to 9/20. Contrast this with entering these same numbers without the square brackets, for example, 1/4 + 1/5, which will evaluate to 0.45.

To divide fractions, use the percent (%) as the division operator, since the backslash (/) is used to separate the numerator and denominator. For example, divide 1/4 by 2 by entering [1/4] % 2.

Examples:
[5/6] + [10/12].
Compare [5/6], [10/12] contrast with Compare 5/6, 10/12
